About the Role

The Marketing Administrator reports to the Senior Marketing Executive and works as part of the Cayman-based Business Development and Marketing team (BD&M). Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective, to promote and position the Maples Group as the pre-eminent law firm in their key markets. The successful candidate will work with the partners and other BD&M team members in Cayman and BVI to devise and implement coordinated programmes of activities utilising a broad range of marketing tactics to meet the objectives of the practice groups, offices and firm. 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the objectives of the BVI and Cayman offices and practice groups
  • Supporting the team with the delivery of coordinated marketing activities and initiatives ensuring they are joined up with corresponding business development plans
  • Liaising with our Creative & Digital Studio team on the production of impactful and engaging assets
  • Providing support with the development and updating of marketing collateral, other branded materials, assets and merchandise
  • General marketing administration (processing invoices, data entry, marketing material inventory and distribution, event management, etc.)
  • Assisting with the researching, ordering, tracking and stock maintenance of promotional items
  • Providing support with content management of the firm's website, scheduling regular reviews and updates of content and liaising with the business development team and relevant lawyers to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Providing support in the coordination of the production and distribution of the firm’s articles, client updates, press releases, brochures, newsletters and any other marketing materials, as required, in line with the firm's brand guidelines and approved processes
  • Performing any other tasks and duties which may be required as a part of the on-going Marketing needs of the Cayman office, including event support, which may take place outside of normal working hours

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following: 

  • A professional qualification in a Business or Marketing related field is preferred
  • Over two years' professional experience in a similar role in professional services. Knowledge of the finance/legal industry is desirable
  • The ability to build networks with partners and staff at all levels across the organisation and influence effectively
  • Strong relationship skills and the capability to understand and quickly respond to the needs of senior stakeholders
  • Engage credibly with all members of the organisation with high level of enthusiasm and ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage competing demands and deliver high quality work under pressure
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle a consistent and varied workload is essential
  • Ability to apply logic and creativity to problem solving, ideally from experience gained in a professional services environment
  • A team player with the ability to build relationships within the BD&M team locally and globally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project, organisational, time management and administrative skills
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with InterAction or a similar CRM database, and email marketing software packages Tikit, Vuture, or similar would be an asset
